Nalang Olympian Games
Inspired by the Wenlock Olympian Games which were founded in 1850 in a rural area of England, and are officially credited by the International Olympic Committee as being the inspiration behind the modern Olympic movement, the Trust are setting up The Nalang Olympian Games. These will be held each year at John Yearley Park in Nalang and will promote sport in rural areas of Nepal.
The Trust is very happy to have the backing of the Wenlock Olympian Games Committee for what we are doing. We hope that it will prove an incentive to promote sport in rural communities as well as bringing communities together in sport.
Sports will include football, Kwik cricket, athletics and volleyball. All of which can be played, or practiced, in rural communities with very limited facilities.
