The community comes together once again to help

On top of all the disasters due to covid in Nepal the monsoon has struck with a vengeance

Already flooding and landslips have caused at least 7 confirmed deaths and 50 people missing in rural areas….

The intense rains in Nalang have caused a landslip which has put one of the buildings of the Nalang Model Academy at risk but as usual the remarkable community are taking immediate action and, despite the rain, are building a retaining wall to prevent the landslip growing and are taking other flood prevention measures. 

All the work is being undertaken voluntary by members of the community and The Yearley Trust is happy to be covering the cost of all the material needed and to support this remarkable community.
