The Community at Nalang took the opportunity of having technicians on site to finish the building work on the new classrooms

During a temporary enforced break in work on the Hostel, due to a mechanical problem with essential machinery, the Community at Nalang took the opportunity of having technicians on site to finish the building work on the new classrooms that they have funded by the community who made small loans out of their limited income to cover cost of construction and pupils also gave 2NPR a week out of their pocket money towards the costs.

Photos show some of them making loans and also one of the pupils giving money. It was a real community effort for which everyone involved should be proud.

The new classroom and science lab will be the centre for science teaching at the school which the Trust is proud to be helping with some equipment, computers, and science text books etc.

The Trust congratulates the community at Nalang and it is their efforts to try and improve the future for their children that is one of the reasons why The Yearley Trust is happy to support both the Nalang Model Academy and also the community in general.
